Not just LSx conversions , but Coyote and JZ kits as well. RX8 with that flat-plane crank Mustang engine? Yes, I’ll take one. And one with a 2JZ as well.

the coyote isnt a flat plane crank, thats the 5.2 voodoo motor

Put in the Mazda Skyactiv-X inline-6 in there. I mean sure, it only exists in the future, but still would be fun.

Give me all the Voodoo motors you have. I want to hoard them.

Interesting. LS swaps are easier due to the compactness that pushrods allow so shoving the wider Coyote in there would be cool to see.

OK, I didn't know what it was called. I assume the basic arrangement and mounting points are the same?

That's a coyote in the RX7 pictured in the post

I like that idea. Even the current 2.5 turbo motor might be pretty nice even though it’s not known for being a screaming performance motor. Lots of torque in a car that’s probably lighter than a Mazda6/CX-5/CX-9? Sign me up.

I meant an up close look and/or video tour. Specifically I’d love to see how they managed the exhaust getting around the steering and other assorted things. Also how the hood fits around it.

I haven’t seen the specs on even the 2-liter Skyactiv-X yet, but I remember seeing something about a supercharger for improving the combustion cycle.
Forced induction + no exhaust turbines could sound very nice on an inline-6.

I’d be happy with an old school pushrod 5.0. No extra horsepower, but a ton more torque, and torque in a lightweight car is my favorite recipe for fun.
